Privacy Policy

PreggyAI ("we", "us", "our") is a pregnancy companion app. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used and protected, how long it is kept, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the PreggyAI mobile app and this website. Questions any time: support@preggyai.online.

The short version: we collect only what the app needs to work, we encrypt the sensitive parts, we never sell your data, we show no ads and use no advertising or analytics trackers, and you can delete your account — and everything in it — from inside the app at any time.

1. Information we collect

Account information. You sign in with Apple or Google. We receive a unique account identifier and, depending on the provider and your choices, your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive your password.

Profile information you provide. Your chosen name, due date, your baby's nickname, your partner's name (if you enter one), your time zone, and app preferences such as notification settings and the baby's personality style.

Health information you choose to enter. Symptoms, weight entries, kick counts, appointment details, notebook entries (for example a birth plan), bump photos, and the messages you exchange with the AI baby character. This is sensitive information, and we treat it that way — see sections 3 and 4.

Activity data from a connected health app (optional). If you choose to connect Apple Health or Health Connect, we import daily activity summaries only — daily step totals and workout sessions (type and duration) — from the categories you authorize. We keep a rolling window of the most recent 14 days; older entries are replaced automatically on each sync. Raw sensor samples, heart rate, and locations are never read or collected. Imported activity data is used only for the activity-aware features described in section 2, and disconnecting the health app in Settings deletes our copy.

AI-generated summaries. To personalize your experience, the app creates short AI-generated summaries of your conversations (for example, remembering your baby's nickname or things you have shared). These are stored encrypted, used only to provide the service, and deleted with your account.

Technical information. A push-notification token for your device (if you enable notifications), your app version, and short-lived operational logs needed to run and debug the service. We do not collect advertising identifiers, and the app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

2. How we use information

We use your information only to provide the app's features: powering the AI conversation, showing your week-by-week progress, storing the entries you make, sending the notifications you have enabled, enabling Partner Mode sharing you have chosen, powering activity-aware features when you connect a health app (for example, the AI baby celebrating your steps and workouts, or gentle activity-related suggestions, including to a partner you have linked), applying fair-use limits, and keeping the service secure and reliable.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, share it with data brokers or advertisers, or use it for advertising of any kind. We do not use your personal content to train AI models.

3. AI processing

The AI conversation is powered by a large language model (Anthropic Claude) running on Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock). Your messages and relevant context (such as your pregnancy week and the memories described above) are sent to that service to generate each reply. Under the AWS terms that apply to this processing, this content is not used to train the model. Answers to health questions are grounded in published guidance from public health sources; the app is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

4. How your information is protected

All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS). All stored data is encrypted at rest. The most sensitive content — your chat messages, AI-generated conversation summaries, and the contents of notifications we generate for you — is additionally encrypted at the field level with a dedicated managed key, bound to your account. Photos are stored privately and served only through short-lived, expiring links. The optional app lock (Face ID / fingerprint / PIN) protects the app on your device.

No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach of security affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law (including Canada's PIPEDA and the U.S. FTC Health Breach Notification Rule).

5. Where your information is stored

Our servers are provided by Amazon Web Services and located in the United States. If you live outside the U.S. (including in Canada, where PreggyAI is based), your information is transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country. We apply the same protections described in this policy wherever the data is processed.

6. How long we keep information

Entries have built-in retention limits, after which they are automatically deleted from our systems:

When you delete your account (section 8), everything above is removed immediately without waiting for these limits.

7. Partner Mode — sharing you control

If you choose to link a partner, they can see information associated with your pregnancy in their own copy of the app: your baby's nickname, due date and week, symptoms you log, upcoming appointments, kick counts and weight trends, and — with the PRO plan — your synced bump photos and notebook. The AI may also share context it has learned from your conversations with your partner's baby character, so it can help them support you, and can pass short messages between you when you ask it to. Linking is entirely your choice, requires an invite code you generate, and you can unlink at any time, which stops all future sharing.

8. Your choices and rights

Delete your account. In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, messages, summaries, symptoms, appointments, weights, kick sessions, notebook, photos, and sign-in mapping from our systems. We retain only non-identifying operational records (for example, anonymous usage counters) that contain no personal content.

Access and correction. Almost everything we hold is visible and editable directly in the app. For anything else, email us and we will help.

Notifications. Fully controllable in the app's settings, per category, or off entirely.

Withdraw consent. You can withdraw consent to our processing at any time by disconnecting your health app in Settings (for imported activity data — this deletes our copy), unlinking your partner (for sharing), or deleting your account (for everything).

Canada. We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You may contact us with any privacy concern, and you have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

United States. Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising them. The deletion and access mechanisms above satisfy these requests; email us for anything additional.

Europe/UK. The app is not currently offered in the EU/UK app stores. If you use it there regardless, the rights above (access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent) are available to you the same way.

9. Consumer health data

This section supplements the above for laws that specifically protect consumer health data (such as Washington's My Health My Data Act). The categories of health data we collect are those you enter yourself — pregnancy status and due date, symptoms, weight, fetal movement (kick) counts, appointment details, health-related notes, and health topics you discuss in chat — plus, if you choose to connect a health app, the imported daily activity summaries described in section 1. We collect them with your consent, solely to provide the app's features described in section 2. We do not sell consumer health data and do not share it with third parties except the service providers in section 10 (who process it only on our instructions) and a partner you have linked (section 7). You can withdraw consent or delete this data as described in section 8.

10. Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run PreggyAI, each processing only what is needed:

We have no advertising, analytics, or data-broker relationships.

11. Children

PreggyAI is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to use it. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and ask you to review and agree again in the app before continuing. The current version is always at https://preggyai.online/privacy.html.
